Clarification

For Immediate Release: April 4, 2017

(Wisconsin Rapids WI) Golden Sands Speedway- To clarify the purse for the upcoming THAW race date, the payout listed is based on 40 cars. 40 cars are not required for the payout listed. In the event more than 40 cars are in a division only 40 cars will be paid out with the payout listed. UMA rules are the official rule package of Golden Sands Speedway, and will be followed accordingly.

Super Late Models will race on the UMA approved tire Hoosier Racing 30/35 & F80 tire. Super Lates will race 100 lap main or a 50 lap B-main.

The tires ordered by the track for the Super Stocks are the D800 Hoosier Racing tire. Sportsman cars are welcome to attend The THAW as well as various other racing series that fall under the UMA rules. The UMA has adopted the TUNDRA matrix spread sheet to allow travelers the opportunity to race throughout Central Wisconsin. Super Stocks will race a 40 lap main or a 25 B-main if enough competitors are present.

The tire ordered by the track for Pure Stocks is the UMA Spec tire the Hoosier Racing 790 tire. There will be a 30 Main or a 20 B-main if enough competitors are present.

4-Cylinders will be divided into two separate classes, Outlaw and Stock. UMA rules are the sanctioning rules being utilized. For Outlaws the track has ordered the UMA spec tire the Hoosier Racing 790 tire. Each division of 4-Cylinders will compete in a 25 lap main or 15 lap B-main if enough competitors are present.

Hoosier Racing tires have been ordered and will be delivered to the race track this week. After Wednesday any competitor may call the race track and purchase tires.
